The data protection blog Dr. DSGVO is an independent medium. My starting point was the often poorly founded and often opportunistic statements by some public figures on matters of general relevance. The aim is well-founded, fact-based reporting on data protection on the internet. A lot of unpaid time goes into this. If you want to support this work, a donation or a recommendation helps. The continuous analyses and preparation of results as well as looking after the website, including replying to comments, take a lot of effort.
The content of Dr. DSGVO is created by me, Klaus Meffert. The content that does not come from me consists of (currently a few) guest articles that I supervise.
My aim is solutions. Where I can contribute them myself, I do so. For example with my free interactive map as a replacement for the Google Maps plugin or with the GDPR Website Check.
If you read my blog, you may know my guiding principles:
Evidence instead of bullshit.
My guiding principles.
Solutions instead of problems.
Holistic approach: technology and law.
If you would like to support the Dr. DSGVO blog, it helps me to ensure the quality and independence of my articles. Digital data protection is good for our country. Solutions help to avoid data protection problems. When data protection rules are applied correctly, our country benefits. Companies from overseas tend to be reluctant to pay taxes in Germany and to properly protect your privacy and mine. If we cannot fully catch up in terms of functionality, then privacy-friendly solutions with good functionality appear to be probably the only way to stand up to the dominance of the mostly American internet corporations.

On his own initiative, he contributed the Dr. DSGVO logo including the icon and extensive usage rights, and thus helped to spruce up the look.
Yours, Klaus Meffert

PPS: If you would like to receive my printed brochure with helpful information on digital data protection, please write to me stating your postal address, which I will only use to send the brochure.
